A Forgotten Time

Guest Contributor — Tue, 08/01/2006

(Connie's daughter wrote this Veteran's Day 2005)

Our world lacks fact and believes all the fiction, a world full of the unknown prisons , prisoners, wars, the battle being fought, the freedom won back and yet still the victors mourn,
So many lost, so many condemn, souls of the forgotten just want to rest again, They Scream out and cry "remember me please! my soul cannot be put to rest until you believe".
Tragedy has struck and it was so long ago, the only ones who have not forgotten are the spirits unknown, they haunt the battle fields, they remember the fight, remember making plans and attacking under starlight,
Young men fought because they believed it to the reason why they breathed!
Young women were forced to be strong, so when the soliders came to the door to say that thier young precious soulmates were gone, and still life had to go on,
She screams as she cries with insane power in her eyes, her love is gone that she can't denie, she did'nt get to say good bye
The death of her love is what haunted her dreams at night and now she knows her dreams were life!
she will have her revenge and the evil will never end as she curses the men that made her lovers life end and broke her heart that will never again mend,
"The bloodshed of others the bloodshed of my lover, that is why my life and soul shall be condemn"
"I will always remember his warm touch, his love and his death is the reason for my revenge"!

Stories of those that are now lost in time, no one cares to remember no one hears thier cries!
Young women going crazy, losing thier minds, mourning thier lovers for the rest of thier lives,
Young men at war, cuts, bruises and bodies so sore, they think of thier life like it was back home, the love of his life his wife and the child he does not yet know,
His thoughts wild! will I survive? can I make it that far? To see the woman I love and the child I don't yet know but already adore,
Will I die by the sword while just trying to serve my Lord?
He goes forward into battle, feeling fear like he can't move off from his sadldle, he stops to think of his love back home and his duty to his King,
He makes his decision as he Screams!!
"I must Fight for both, My Country and My Ring"!
